Digital Accessibility is critical to the daily function of the South Carolina Department Education (SCDE). It makes online content more manageable for everyone; helps us reach a wider audience; and it’s the right thing to do. SCDE staff must be aware of the legal considerations relative to online content and our agency goals of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA; that we have agency guidelines, policies, and procedures for creating online content; and the need to help educate our community on the topic.
